Corporate Health and Safety Manager

Belgium/Lux/France/NL (with international mobility)

€100,000 – €120,000 plus bonus

Open to Europe base or Asia base (local market-adjusted salary)

The Opportunity

We’re supporting a global industrial organisation as they strengthen their corporate Health & Safety capability. The team is growing, with two Senior H&S Expert hires planned. One role will be European-based; the second may be based internationally, with regular mobility to Europe.

These are hands-on roles suited to experienced H&S professionals who enjoy being close to operations, influencing leaders, and working across complex, high-risk environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver technical H&S training to operational and site leadership teams
• Provide expert advice on occupational health & safety risks within heavy industry settings
• Act as a credible, assertive H&S presence with the ability to challenge constructively
• Contribute to continuous improvement of H&S standards, systems, and behaviours
• Undertaking corporate level audits of local systems, teams and locations

Experience & Background

• 10-20 years experience expected within Group level positions
• Background in a heavy industrial setting (Manufacturing, Mining, Chemicials, O&G, Power)
• Strong occupational H&S expertise
• One of the two hires must have strong Electrical Safety expertise
• Practical, multi-site international experience with a track record of inspiring local teams

European Health & Safety Auditor
Location: Germany (Cologne, Bremen or Duisburg)- (frequent travel required)
Salary: €91,000-€102,000 plus benefits, travel

About the role:
We’re working with a global leader in heavy industry manufacturing that is driving change in its industry, committed to sustainability and decarbonisation. As part of their central audit team, they are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Auditor to join their corporate function. This is a key role focused on auditing and improving H&S governance and assurance across their German operations.

You’ll join a forward-thinking, diverse team within a global organisation that values continuous improvement, innovation, and making a positive impact on people and the planet.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and conduct health and safety audits across German operations
• Ensure governance, compliance, and best practice implementation across multiple sites
• Analyse audit outcomes to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement
• Support timely closure of corrective and preventive actions
• Produce clear audit reports with actionable recommendations
• Collaborate with site teams and senior stakeholders
• Participate in special reviews or investigations as needed

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years’ experience in a similar H&S auditing role
• Strong background in industrial or manufacturing environments
• Fluent in German and English
• Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 and relevant H&S frameworks
• Degree in engineering, physics, chemistry, or related field
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
• Ability to work autonomously and within cross-functional teams
• Willingness to travel frequently (around 50%)
