Overview
Excalon are a leading independent multi-utility and power contractor delivering major projects across the North West. They are looking to appoint an Environmental Advisor to support environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives and best-practice across a portfolio of high-profile power, civils and deep excavation projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day environmental support and guidance to operational teams across multiple projects.
- Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, client requirements, and ISO 14001 standards.
- Support the development, implementation and review of environmental management plans, SWMPs and site-specific controls.
- Conduct site inspections, monitoring and audits, issuing reports and recommendations.
- Lead on environmental incident investigations, reporting and corrective actions.
- Support carbon reduction, waste minimisation, circular economy and other sustainability initiatives.
- Engage with clients, regulators and internal stakeholders to promote best practice.
- Deliver toolbox talks, awareness training and coaching to site teams.
- Assist with permitting, reporting and environmental consents.
- Input into tender submissions, environmental risk assessments and project start-up processes.
About You
- Experience working as an Environmental Advisor (or similar) within utilities, power, civil engineering or construction.
- Strong understanding of environmental legislation, permitting and ISO 14001 requirements.
- Experience undertaking audits, inspections and monitoring on live projects.
- Confident engaging with site teams, clients, and regulators.
- Relevant environmental qualification (Degree, IEMA or equivalent).
- Full UK driving licence.
