Salary: £55,000–£60,000 + travel + package
Location: West London

The Opportunity

We’re working with a joint venture delivering on one of London’s most significant, multi-year infrastructure programmes.

They are now seeking an experienced Lead Health & Safety Advisor to take ownership of health and safety across multiple work packages, acting as a key driver of culture, standards, and continuous improvement on site.

The Role

As Lead Health & Safety Advisor, you’ll sit at the heart of project delivery, partnering closely with engineering and construction teams to embed best-practice health and safety throughout the lifecycle of the works.

You’ll be responsible for shaping and implementing the H&S strategy on site and being a visible presence across the programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of health & safety policies and procedures across site operations

  • Provide expert H&S advice to project teams and senior stakeholders

  • Carry out site inspections, audits, and risk assessments

  • Lead incident investigations and ensure lessons learned are effectively embedded

  • Coach and support delivery teams and contractors on best practice

  • Act as the primary H&S point of contact for the project

  • Deliver and coordinate H&S training and briefings

  • Monitor, report, and drive improvements in overall H&S performance

  • Contribute to the ongoing development of Integrated Management Systems

About You

  • Strong experience in a senior or lead H&S role on major construction or infrastructure projects

  • Sound working knowledge of UK health & safety legislation and industry standards

  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and professional membership (IOSH or similar)

  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels

  • Collaborative, pragmatic, and solutions-focused approach

  • Passionate about driving high safety standards in complex environments

What’s on Offer

  • £55,000–£60,000 basic salary

  • Travel allowance and full benefits package

  • Long-term, high-profile project

  • Strong support from an established delivery and leadership team

  • Opportunity to make a genuine impact on a flagship UK infrastructure scheme
