Health & Safety Advisor
Location: Newcastle (Hybrid 3 days office / site, 2 days wfh)
Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 + strong benefits package

About the Role:


We are supporting a well-established property organisation in the appointment of a Health & Safety Advisor to support the delivery of health and safety across a diverse portfolio.

Working closely with the Director of Health & Safety, this is a varied role offering exposure across audits, reporting, systems, and stakeholder engagement. It’s a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to learn, grow and develop within a supportive environment, whether you already have some experience or are looking to secure your first role in health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide health and safety advice and guidance across the business
  • Support the delivery and continuous improvement of the health and safety management system
  • Carry out site inspections and audits, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice
  • Assist with internal audits and risk management processes
  • Produce reports and analyse health and safety data for key stakeholders
  • Support incident reporting, investigations, and RIDDOR requirements
  • Coordinate health and safety training, including identifying needs and supporting delivery
  • Assist in the development and review of policies, procedures, and systems
  • Engage with stakeholders to promote a positive safety culture

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in a Health & Safety role, or a strong interest in securing your first role in the industry
  • A genuine interest in health and safety and developing a long-term career
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage at all levels
  • Good attention to detail and ability to work with data and reports
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or working towards)
  • Experience within property, housing, or facilities management is desirable
