Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Safety Advisor to join our team for a data centre contractor project in Groningen. This role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance on-site. Responsibilities

  • Conduct all site-based EHS duties to ensure compliance with local and international safety regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures tailored to the data centre project.
  • Perform regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide guidance and training to site personnel on safety protocols and best practices.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for prevention.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to promote a culture of safety.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
  • Stay updated on industry standards and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a safety advisor or similar EHS role, preferably within the construction or data centre industry.
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
  • Relevant certifications in occupational health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using safety management systems and reporting tools.
  • Must hold a valid EU passport.
