Job Description

Health & Safety & Environment Advisor
West London
£42,000 - £52,000 + Car Allowance

A major UK infrastructure project is looking to appoint a Health & Safety & Environment Advisor to support one of the country’s most high profile transport programmes.

This is a site based role, working five days per week on a large scale construction environment in West London. Due to the nature of the role, candidates will need to be based locally and comfortable operating in a fast paced live project setting.

You’ll join an established HSEQ function supporting construction teams and supply chain partners across complex civils, demolition and ground engineering activities. The role offers the opportunity to be part of a landmark programme where safety, collaboration and delivery excellence sit at the heart of the project.

The Role

You will provide practical Health & Safety support across site operations, helping to drive compliance, continuous improvement and a strong behavioural safety culture across the programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote a positive Health, Safety & Wellbeing culture across site operations
• Support operational teams and subcontractors with best practice guidance and compliance standards
• Conduct site inspections, audits and formal reporting activities
• Assist with delivery of project and business HSE objectives and KPIs
• Support risk management processes and identify areas for improvement
• Participate in investigations relating to incidents, near misses and unsafe acts
• Build strong working relationships with project stakeholders, suppliers and operational teams
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across health, safety and wellbeing performance

About You

• Minimum 3 years’ experience within construction, infrastructure or major project environments
• NEBOSH Certificate, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent Health & Safety qualification
• TechIOSH, GradIOSH or actively working towards membership
• Experience within civil engineering, demolition, rail or heavy infrastructure environments
• Confident carrying out inspections, audits and incident investigations
• Strong understanding of Root Cause Analysis methodologies
• Comfortable using digital reporting systems and Microsoft Office 365
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence teams and build credibility on site

This opportunity would suit an ambitious Health & Safety professional looking to develop their career on one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure schemes.
