Project Health and Safety Manager

Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Health and Safety Manager to oversee the safety management of a major civil engineering project. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all health and safety regulations are adhered to and that the well-being of all staff and stakeholders is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with UK regulations and company standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure that all identified risks are mitigated effectively.
- Provide advice and guidance to project teams on health and safety matters.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Investigate any incidents or accidents and produce reports with recommendations for corrective actions.
- Deliver health and safety training to staff and contractors.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for senior management.
Qualifications and Experience:
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager in the civil engineering sector.
- In-depth knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A proactive approach with a strong attention to detail.
