HSEQ Manager 

Location: South East (Kent, Sussex, Hampshire)

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 + bonus, Company Car or allowance

About the Role:

We’re supporting a leading principle construction contractor operating across the industrial and built environment sector, who are looking to appoint an experienced HSEQ Manager to support live projects and drive high standards across health, safety, environment and quality.

This is a hands-on, site-facing role suited to a confident HSEQ professional who can influence, challenge and support operational teams while embedding a strong culture of compliance and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading HSEQ delivery across the region 

  • Providing practical advice and guidance to project teams and supply chain

  • Carrying out site inspections, audits and reviews to ensure compliance with company standards and legislation

  • Supporting the development and implementation of safe systems of work, particularly for high-risk activities

  • Investigating incidents and near misses, ensuring robust reporting and close-out of actions

  • Engaging with clients and meeting project-specific HSEQ reporting requirements

  • Coaching and supporting operational teams through training, briefings and day-to-day engagement

  • Supporting tenders, pre-construction activity and business improvement initiatives where required

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience in a HSEQ Manager role within construction or industrial environments

  • Strong knowledge of UK HSEQ legislation, CDM and best practice

  • Confident communicator, able to challenge and influence at all levels

  • Pragmatic, solutions-focused and comfortable operating in fast-paced, live site environments

  • NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) preferred
